Anime Vanguards Beginner Guide
What the game is about
Anime Vanguards is a Roblox anime tower-defense game where you summon anime-inspired units, place them on a map, upgrade them during waves, and clear stages for gems, materials, and progression. Winning depends on building a balanced team and spending in-match money at the right time.
The basic loop is: redeem rewards, summon units, clear Story stages, upgrade your best damage unit, farm materials, reroll or improve traits when it matters, then move into harder modes and events.
Beginner objective
- Build around one strong damage unit first.
- Use support or money units only after your main defense is stable.
- Clear Story stages to unlock more modes and resources.
- Do not waste premium currency on random upgrades before you know your best unit.
Main systems
Units: Units are placed during stages and deal damage, slow enemies, buff allies, or generate money. Beginner priority: Focus resources on your strongest damage dealer first.
Summoning: Summons use currency to unlock new units from banners. Beginner priority: Check banner value before spending everything.
Traits and stats: Traits or stat rolls can improve a unit significantly. Beginner priority: Save reroll resources for units you will keep using.
Upgrades: In-match upgrades increase range, damage, cooldown, or special effects. Beginner priority: Upgrade one carry unit early, then fill weak lanes.
Modes: Story, Challenges, Raids, and events give different rewards. Beginner priority: Clear Story first, then farm the mode that gives what you need.
Start here
- Redeem available codes and collect login rewards.
- Use your best early unit as the main carry.
- Place units where they cover long paths or multiple turns.
- Upgrade your carry before spreading upgrades too thin.
- Repeat early Story stages for gems and materials.
Progression priority
- Story unlocks should be the first target.
- After Story progress slows, farm materials for upgrades and evolution.
- Summon only when the banner helps your account.
- Improve traits on long-term units instead of temporary fillers.
- Move into Challenges and Raids when your team can clear reliably.
How to play better
- Place high-range units where they cover the most path.
- Do not spend all money at the start; react to enemy waves.
- Keep at least one answer for fast enemies or bosses.
- Upgrade priority matters more than the number of units on the field.
- Use community tier lists as guidance, but build around what you actually own.
First-hour route
- Claim codes and free rewards.
- Clear early Story with your best damage unit.
- Upgrade that unit between stages.
- Farm gems/materials until you can summon or evolve meaningfully.
- Test harder modes only after Story clears feel consistent.
Common beginner mistakes
- Spreading upgrades across too many weak units.
- Rerolling traits on units you will replace soon.
- Summoning on every banner without a goal.
- Ignoring placement and relying only on rarity.
- Entering harder modes before your team has enough damage.
Quick rule to remember
Pick one reliable carry, build the team around it, and spend upgrades where they stop leaks fastest.
